Episode 5 is an in-depth conversation about the scale. We talk about Jacqueline's relationship with the scale and how that one tool can hold you back from success. Jacqueline has been weighing herself recently as she tries to lose some of the regain she has experienced over the past year or so. After the number on the scale didn't change for a second consecutive week, she had a little meltdown and let that number dominate her. After a very deep conversation, we decided to make this week's episode about the scale too so that Jacqueline could share her experiences and how they have helped her to grow mentally and emotionally. After taking a step back and really looking at the success she has felt in the past two weeks she again remembered that the number on the scale doesn't define her and shouldn't allow it to control her the way she was allowing it to. We talked about how she was making healthy eating choices and getting her exercise in and there wasn't much else in her control that she could do to make the scale move. Sometimes you do everything in your power but sometimes that scale still won't budge. Even though the scale was being stubborn she felt like her clothes were fitting better, and she felt like she was able to move better in her workouts. These are two different ways to measure success without looking at the scale. We also talked about how progress pictures can be an excellent way to gauge if what you are making progress towards your weight loss goals. Ultimately we talked about how its ok to feel whatever it is that you are feeling and releasing those emotions is important to your progress. If you stay in a negative place mentally it will more than likely hold you back physically at some point too. Jacqueline shares how important being aware of your emotions is to staying on track and making progress to your goals. When you are aware of your emotions and your thoughts you can make the changes to help you achieve your goals! We hope that whatever journey you may find your self on that you have success and don't allow any number on a scale to define your or determine your value or worth. Thanks for listening to this week's episode!
