Episode 11 dives a little bit deeper into Jacqueline's Binge Eating Disorder. We talk and discuss how she found herself diagnosed with BED as well as what she feels led up to becoming a binge eater. After talking about when, why, and how she discovered these disordered thoughts and actions we talk about what she is doing to overcome these behaviors. It is very well known that many eating disorder circles around social media believe that ED recovery and weight loss can not work at the same time, but Jacqueline finds herself in the very position of facing both weight loss and BED recovery simultaneously. We also talk about a situation that happened this week when she reached out to a brand that posts about recovery and how they responded to her comment. We hope that the topics and discussions in this week's episode can help our listeners to think about their own situations and help them to become more aware of how their thoughts and actions affect how they feel and respond even if they aren't necessarily suffering from an eating disorder. We absolutely both feel that every individual is unique and that no matter what their experiences are they will require a unique approach to resolve their struggles. Recovery does not look the same for everyone, what works for one person may not work for everyone else. You need to do what is best, and what works for you!
Thanks for listening and remember, it's never too late to fly!
